Notice is hereby given by order of the Returning Officer that an Advance Poll will be held for the AngajukKâk Elections at the following location:

Makkovik Inuit Community Government Town Council Chambers (Back Entrance) 16 Andersen Street

The poll will be held on the 30 day of August, 2018 between the hours of 8:00 am and 8:00 pm from the purpose of receiving votes from voters entitled to vote at an advance poll.

Eligibility of Voters: As per Inuit Community Government Election Act, IL 2010-4, an persons 16 years and older, both beneficiary and non-beneficiary residents, who have been living in the Town of Makkovik for thirty days preceding the date of the general election, are eligible to vote for AngajukKâk of Makkovik.

Please note: If a resident is expected to be out of Makkovik during both advance poll and general polls, residents can vote by proxy (an eligible voter can designate another eligible voter to vote on his/her behalf) Proxy Applications are available at the Town Office during normal business hours.
