Community of Makkovik

Notice is given to the voters of the above-mentioned Community, that a poll has been granted for the elections now pending for this community, and that the poll will open on the 11th day September , 2018 at 8:00 am and close at 8:00 pm at the following location:

Makkovik Inuit Community Government Town Council Chambers (Back Entrance) 16 Andersen Street

Notice is further given that the persons nominated as Candidates in the above elections are:

1. Andersen, Winston Barry
2. Jacque, Herbert

Eligibility of Voters: As per Inuit Community Government Election Act, IL 2010-4, an persons 16 years and older, both beneficiary and non-beneficiary residents, who have been living in the Town of Makkovik for thirty days preceding the date of the general election, are eligible to vote for AngajukKâk of Makkovik.

Please note: If a resident is expected to be out of Makkovik during both advance poll and general polls, residents can vote by proxy (an eligible voter can designate another eligible voter to vote on his/her behalf) Proxy Applications are available at the Town Office during normal business hours.
