JOB OPPORTUNITY
The Makkovik Inuit Community Government received funding from Makkovimiut Trust Incorporated to continue the
SENIORS & AND PHYSICALLY DISABLED( AND MENTALLY CHALLENGED ASSISTANCE PROGRAM
We require TWO labourers to provide assistance with wood chores( chopping, bringing in wood, etc), sawing of wood, delivery/pumping of fuel and snow shoveling to Seniors over age 65 and Physically disabled & mentally challenged residents. If there is enough time in day, single parents will also be offered assistance.
Duration of Work: Start date is Monday, January 14th, 2019 for 8 week. Completion Date being March 08th, 2019.
Rate of Pay: These positions pay the minimum wage of $ 11.15 per hour( plus 4% Vacation Pay). Hours of Work is Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm( 40 hours per week)
Qualifications: Hard worker, with a good work ethic. This work program is NOT geared towards residents needing insurable hours so anyone, whatever his or her current employment status may be ( on EI Claim, not working, etc) can apply for this work project.
