Makkovik Inuit Community Goverment is marking this week as Heritage Week. This is a time to reflect on the acheivement of past generations and to accept the responsibilities in protecting our heritage.
Thank you to the residents of Makkovik, who work in this field, in particular the members of the White Elephant Museum Committee. Hats off to you for all that you do in keeping the rich heritage of Makkovik alive!

Look for this upcoming event! The White Elephant Museum Committee will be marking Heritage Day later this spring when schedules are not so full. We will post it in Makkovik News (facebook). At that time, we invite you to a book launch for "Music Notables in Makkovik", as well as other fun things to see and do.
