MICG Departments closed to Public

PUBLIC NOTICE
PRECAUTIONARY MEASURES REGARIDING COVID-19
Starting today, the Makkovik Inuit Community Government will be closing the Town Administration Office to the public until further notice. MICG Administration Staff will be given the option to work at home. These measures are as a result of the Federal Government advisory.
Please note that MICG Administration Dept will be still be providing the essential services during this time, to include payroll, collection of tax payment which will be available through our on-line services. To make payments towards your account, please forward by email(emt) to townclerk@makkovik.ca.
During this time. Public Works and Services Department Crew will be providing the essential services to include water and sewer services, garbage collection, road maintenance( if needed).
These measures are as a precaution as per the social distancing advisory of two meters to avoid the potential spread of the virus in our Community. All non-essential travel by MICG staff is also postponed at this time. MICG will be monitoring the situation, and will update the public as they arise.
