RE: Makkovik Inuit Community Government Open with Level 2 COVID-19 Measures in place
Makkovik Inuit Community Government is open as of 29 June 2020 with COVID-19 Measures in place.
Office is open to the public by appointment only.
Social Distancing of 2 meters is still required.
Wearing of a mask is recommended when entering the MICG Office.
Any of the MICG staff that are feeling unwell will be working from home as a precaution at Level 2 of the Pandemic Emergency Plan as well.

At Alert Level 2, our focus is to control transmission while maintaining health system capacity throughout further re-opening of social and business activities.
Life at Alert Level 2:
Your responsibility:
Follow Public Health Guidance for All Alert Levels.
People can move about more. Those at higher risk of complications due to COVID-19 should stay at home as much as possible, except to get essentials like groceries and medications.
If you have COVID-19 symptoms, contact 811.
Public Spaces and Gatherings:
Gatherings at funerals, burials and weddings are expanded to 50 people as long as physical distancing can be maintained. Wakes remain prohibited.
Outdoor gatherings of up to 50 people are permitted as long as physical distancing can be maintained.
Places of worship are permitted to resume operations with restrictions.
Recreational Activities:
Gyms and fitness facilities are permitted to open, with restrictions.
Arenas can open, with restrictions.
Indoor pools can open, however some restrictions apply.
Overnight camping is permitted in all forms, including tenting.
Playground equipment can be used.
Health care services:
Regional health authorities will continue to allow some health care services to resume.
Further expansion of visitation in health care to be determined.
Businesses and Services:
Bars and lounges are permitted to open with reduced occupancy.
Indoor entertainment facilities can reopen with reduced occupancy (e.g. bingo halls, cinemas).
Performance spaces can reopen with reduced occupancy.
