SCOPE OF WORK
The Makkovik Inuit Community Government (MICG) is soliciting requests for proposals for qualified consultants to serve as the Chief Negotiator , to negotiate successor Labour Agreements between the MICG Human Resources Management and the bargaining unit of MICG. The Request for Proposals must clearly state the total amount that the consultant is requesting for the following:
► Assisting MICG Human Resource Management with the negotiation session that takes place
every three (3) years at Makkovik, NL .
► Available, as needed, to offer legal advice and guidance throughout the Labour Agreement.

February 17, 2020: Request for Proposals released
February 21, 2020 at 5:00 pm, Labrador Time: Deadline to ask questions on the Request for Proposals
February 26, 2020 at 12 noon, Labrador Time: Deadline for submissions of proposals
February 27 and 28th, 2020: Review of the Request for Proposal(s) submission
March 04, 2020: Recommendation of the selected consultant to council and approval
March 16, 2020: Consultant start date
QUALIFICATIONS
▪ Minimum of three years experience in negotiations
▪ Capacity to devote sufficient time to advising and negotiating
▪ Available to provide legal advice to Management of MICG as needed during the negotiations and during the time of the Labour Agreement
▪ Reviewing and becoming aware of the contents of the existing
Labour Agreement
▪ Being aware of the fiscal and economic environment of MICG
▪ Experience in representing and advising local municipal government or inuit community governments on labour negotiations.
