PUBLIC NOTICE
Yesterday, August 10th, 2020, the MICG Municipal Crew excavated a site in front of 3 Jupp Lane to investigate a water leak. The source of the leak was located and repaired at approximately 4:00 pm that afternoon.

Government of NL's Environmental Health Officer has advised MICG to place precautionary boil water advisory in effect due to these water line maintenance/repairs.

BOIL WATER ADVISORY

INFORMATION FOR THE PUBLIC

The Municipality of Makkovik has issued a Boil Water Advisory for the Community of Makkovik including the Advance Water Treatment Centre until further notice. The boil water advisory has been issued for the following reason(s):

D1: Water Distribution System is undergoing maintenance or repairs

Consumers are advised to bring water that you might ingest to a rigorous rolling boil for one (1) minute. For example, boil water used for

• Drinking
• Brushing teeth
• Making ice
• Making juice or other juice from concentrate
• Making infant formula & cereal
• Cooking
• Washing fruits & vegetables
• Coffee/tea & other hot drinks

* As per Services NL protocol, this boil water advisory will remain in effect until two set of satisfactory bacteriological water samples is obtained*
