JOB OPPORTUNITY
Makkovik Inuit Community Government (MICG)was successful in receiving funding through the Provincial Government Community Enhancement Employment Program( CEEP) to hire individuals requiring insurable hours to qualify for Employment Insurance.
The hourly rate is minimum wage( $ 12.75) plus 4% vacation pay. The work week is from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday to Friday( 40 hr per week). Individual must be currently unemployed ( noting that those that are employed part time or on a casual basis do not qualify to be employed under CEEP).
MICG will require pre-approval from the Dept of Municipal Affairs that an individual is eligible to work under this program.
Individual is not qualified for CEEP if he or she needs more than 420 hours. The maximum hours given under CEEP is 420 hours. Individual must qualify for EI by the end of project date.
SCOPE OF WORK:
Community Hall Clean up and Painting
Construction of Garbage Bina and Garbage Covers
Making Traditional Crafts
Clean up and Painting of Moravian Church
HOW TO APPLY:
Interested individuals are to submit a letter of application along with the following MANDATORY documentation ,by email to townmanager@makkovik.ca, or drop your application with documentation off to Town Office:
1) Copy(s) of ALL Record of Employment (ROEs) since your last EI Application and a copy of documentation from "My Service Canada Account" entitled " My Latest Claim".
2) Employee Declaration Form- Each applicant must complete an Employee Declaration Form, declaring how many insurable hours you require. This form is available at Town Office

MONDAY, NOVEMBER 15TH 2021 AT 3:00 PM
EXPECTED START DATE IS MONDAY, NOVEMBER 22, 2021 AT 8:00 AM
PLEASE NOTE: ** An applicant will not be considered for CEEP if ALL required documentation is not received, as these documents are required in order for Dept of Municipal Affairs to review your application. MICG must have these documents submitted 7( Seven) days prior to expected start date**
