Below is a listing of Arena Fees for 2022 Season. All prices include 15% hst and are subject to change at any time. The revenue from these fees and rentals goes directly back into the yearly arena operating costs such as building insurance, hydro, telephone and wages.

Please note, the Arena Crew has the right to cancel any events if not enough participants show up, or for other unforeseen circumstance such as ice conditions, adverse weather.

As indicated on permit application, this office is TEMPORARY

On February 22rd, 2022, Nunatsiavut Government applied for a business permit to operate an office at 11 Spruce Avenue, Makkovik, NL, A0P 1J0. The business permit application was presented at the last meeting, dated February 23, 2022 and will be once again reviewed at the upcoming ICG Regular Meeting on March 23rd, 2022.

As per the MICG Development Regulations, for any business permit applications received, Council is to post a notice of intent . MICG will be accepting any public comments in writing by email, by letter or by fax up to Tuesday, March 22, 2022, 3:00 pm.

Please see below- Public Notice on Imposition of Municipal Taxes, as adopted at a meeting of ICG on December 20th, 2021.

In accordance with Chapter 17, Section 17.38.3 of the Land Inuit Land Claims Agreement(LILCA) and Municipalities Act( 1999), as per the Act Respecting the Taxation of Utilities and Cable Television Companies, the Makkovik Inuit Community Government has imposed the following taxes and fees for the upcoming 2022 Taxation year.

Makkovik Inuit Community Government (MICG)was successful in receiving funding through the Provincial Government Community Enhancement Employment Program( CEEP) to hire individuals requiring insurable hours to qualify for Employment Insurance.
