PUBLIC NOTICE
Yesterday, August 10th, 2020, the MICG Municipal Crew excavated a site in front of 3 Jupp Lane to investigate a water leak. The source of the leak was located and repaired at approximately 4:00 pm that afternoon.

Government of NL's Environmental Health Officer has advised MICG to place precautionary boil water advisory in effect due to these water line maintenance/repairs.

Public Notice

The Advanced Water Treatment Center(AWTC) is now open 24 hrs per day.

Please ensure that the following preventative measures are practised when you collect water:

- only one person allowed in the AWTC at one time.

- Practise physical distancing if there is someone waiting before or after you, and they are not in your bubble.

- Please use hand sanitizer before and after usage. Hand santizer will be available on site.

- Please have a designate collect water for you if you have flu-like symptoms such as sore throat, cough, runny nose.

**Please ensure the AWTC door is shut before leaving**

Community Economic Development Officer Lindsay Andersen submitted a proposal to the Makkovimiut Trust on behalf of MICG Recreation Department, and was successful in acquiring funding for the Recreation Life Jacket Program. Thank you to Makkovimiut Trust for this funding, to our CEDO Lindsay Andersen and to the Makkovik Recreation for administering this program.

Notice to Public

Makkovik Inuit Community Government would like to remind the public that that Ellens View Line( also known as Airport Road) may be used for a temporary lay down area to store vehicles, boats during the winter months only. It is not meant for permanent storage. If you have any vehicles stored in this area on permanent basis, we kindly ask that they be removed as soon as possible.

Please be advised that the Driver's Examiner's Visit has been re-scheduled to sometime in next month, August 2020. Once the exact date is know, the public will be notified immediately.

Is you require a written or road test, please call (923-2222, ext 1) or email to info@makkovik.ca. They will also be completing Government Photo Ids during their visit. Please note, that you will be required to show your birth certificate in order to complete the tests or have a photo id done.
