The Makkovik Inuit Community Government still has Compost Tumbler bins for sale. The cost is $ 51.32 ( includes 15% tax). These bins retail at over $ 100.00 dollars so this is a great deal!

Imposition of Municipal Taxes for 2018
Effective January 01, 2018

Groomer Operator (Internal/External)
This is a seasonal position that reports directly to the Chief Administrative Officer of the Makkovik Inuit Community Government
Qualifications:
The Groomer Operator must hold a driver's license with class 5 endorsement and experience in the operation and light maintenance of track vehicles and other equipment. As per the Town's Policy, councillors meet on the first Wednesday of each month. If a quorum cannot be reached( which is half of council plus 1), the meeting will be re-scheduled. Notice of meetings are posted on the Town's Facebook site. A link to our facebook site is found on the home page of our website.
In order to have a matter placed on the Agenda, it must be submitted by 3:00 pm preceding the day of the scheduled meeting.
Regular Meetings are open to the public.

Funding Approved for Assistance Program
The Makkovik Inuit Community Government received funding to hire residents who require insurable hours for Employment Insurance through the 2017-2018 CEEP, Provincial Government.
The scope of work is assisting our Senior residents( over age of 65) and the Physically and Mentally Challenged with daily wood chores, snow shoveling and delivering and pumping heating fuel.
It there is enough time in the day, our workers will assist other residents in need of assistance.
